About Fine Line

Hey, I'm Derek. I started Fine Line Auto Shine back in 2023 while I was still working full-time as a supervisor at Costco. I'd been detailing on the side and honestly just fell in love with it. Slowly I went from full-time at Costco to part-time, and eventually made the jump to running this business full-time. Best decision I've made.

I'm ambitious, I'm structured, and I take what I do seriously. This isn't just a side hustle to me. I'm building something that I want people in Lubbock and West Texas to know and trust for years to come. I've got a family to take care of, and that drives me every single day to show up and do this the right way.

Out here in West Texas, your vehicle takes a beating. The dust, the heat, the caliche roads — it adds up fast. That's why I built my packages around what actually matters in this climate, not just what looks good on paper. Every detail I do, I treat your vehicle like it's my own. No cutting corners, no rushing through it just to get to the next job.

Whether you need a quick interior refresh, a full paint correction, or a ceramic coating that'll protect your investment for years — I've got you. Already trusted by 300+ Lubbock drivers and growing, and I'm just getting started.
